As fishmongers, not just sellers, we pride ourselves on our skills; filleting, skinning, steaking, gutting etc. is carried out to your exact requirements free of charge. The fish is then boxed in sealed, leak proof boxes, labelled and iced for despatch - easy for you to store in your ordinary chillier, no smells, no leaks!!
We were one of the first inland wholesalers to gain the 'Seafish Processors Award' and the first in the UK to hold all three Seafish Quality Awards at the same time (EEC Approval Nº EC TJ006 UK) In addition, Vin Sullivan were the first company in Wales whose staff were awarded the City and Guilds Food Hygiene Certificate 7025 and were the first in the UK to receive five City and Guilds Fishmongers Certificates.
We are very much involved the National Federation of Fishmonger's British Fish Craft Championship held each year, with one of our fishmongers having been the Young's British Fish Craft Champion twice!!
We receive arrivals of fresh fish and shellfish everyday from ports all around the UK - so we are not dependant on one single port for quality, availability or price and every week we produce our special offers list - twenty to thirty fish prices fixed for the coming week to enable you to better plan your menus. As a regular customer all this information can be faxed or emailed to you automatically and a sample can be found on our contact page.
Once we get to know your requirements we can then contact you with any one off bargains offered to us by our suppliers, which regularly occurs.
Increasingly important today is the sustainability of our fisheries and Vin Sullivan Foods is a big supporter of the Marine Stewardship Council - we are also proud to be able to claim that over 60% of the fish we sell nowadays is farmed!!
