Glucose Powder (Dextrose)
Glucose (also known as dextrose) is extremely abundant in nature and the most common energy sugar from which living cells extract chemical energy. It is a monosaccharide or simple sugar that is about 20% less sweet than sucrose (table sugar); it is also less soluble and produces thinner solutions. Glucose caramelises at 150°C, approximately 20°C lower than sucrose.
